Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Wednesday, announced 241 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in Maldives to 71,138.
According to HPA, the 241 new cases include; 90 cases from the greater Male’ region, 143 cases from residential islands outside Male’, 6 cases from operational resorts, and 2 cases from islands under development.
Meanwhile, 647 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 63,180.
With the new developments, Maldives now has 7,747 active cases.
There are 67 patients in hospitals.
4,418 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.
With the 241 new infections this Wednesday, 1,925 people have tested positive over the last one-week period.
