COVID-19: Maldives records 323 new cases

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Thursday, announced 323 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in Maldives to 69,536.

According to HPA, the 323 new cases include; 163 cases from the greater Male’ region, 143 cases from residential islands outside Male’, 9 cases from operational resorts, and 8 cases from liveaboards.

Meanwhile, 1,663 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 55,055.

With the new developments, Maldives now has 14,281 active cases.

There are 115 patients in hospitals.

3,819 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.

With the 323 new infections this Thursday, 3,020 people have tested positive over the last one-week period.

June 10: 323 cases

June 9: 341 cases

June 8: 370 cases

June 7: 552 cases

June 6: 412 cases

June 5: 590 cases

June 4: 432 cases

Maldives has recorded 191 COVID-19 deaths.
