Fifth patient dies today from COVID-19, 166th death in Maldives

A fifth COVID-19 patient has passed away in the Maldives today. 

This is the 166th death related to the virus in the Maldives. 

The deceased has been identified as an 88-year old local woman. She passed away as she was being treated at the Emergency Room of IGMH. 

Three people treated at the Hulhumale' Medical Facility as well as one patient admitted at the COVID-19 facility in B. Eydhafushi also passed away today. 

Last month, saw the Maldives record the highest death toll from the virus in a single month with 88 deaths.
