Health Protection Agency (HPA), has announced 128 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 22,790.
According to HPA, the new cases include; 91 cases from the greater Male’ region, 11 cases from residential islands outside Male’, and 26 cases from operational resorts.
Meanwhile, 82 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 20,226.
With the new developments, Maldives now has 2,491 active cases.
There are 102 patients in hospitals.
4,336 samples (including repeated samples) have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.
66 COVID-19 patients have died from complications.
HPA stated that 2,202 people were vaccinated in the last 24 hours. 1,451 were from the greater Male’ region, and 751 were from other atolls.
A total of 222,970 people have now been inoculated under the program; 124,678 from the greater Male’ region, and 98,292 from other atolls.
