COVID-19: Maldives records 51 new cases, 49 recoveries in 24 hours

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced 51 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Maldives to 14,633.

According to HPA, the new cases include; 32 cases from the greater Male’ region, two cases from residential islands outside Male’, and 17 cases from operational resorts.

Meanwhile, 49 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 13,615.

With the new developments, Maldives now has 962 active cases.

There are 73 patients in hospitals.

370,938 samples (including repeated samples) have been tested for COVID-19 to date.
