Registration for inoculation against COVID-19 in the Maldives will commence tomorrow.

Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) officials, in a press conference tonight said that the first priority would be on inoculating health workers and social care workers in the nation.

Government officials have previously stated that the Maldives would be procuring the vaccine developed by Oxford and Astrazeneca for inoculation.

HEOC spokesperson Dr. Nazla Rafeeq said, "We will open a registration portal for vaccination tomorrow in the morning. The portal will first start registering health workers."

HEOC has previously rolled out the order in which vaccines in the Maldives are to be administered, based on the quantity received.

The designated portal for vaccination is my.health.mv. HEOC has now requested healthcare workers to register through the portal and estimates that vaccine registeration for others will be opened as per the allocation order in the near future.
