Media Council employee tests positive for COVID-19

An employee of the Maldives Media Council has tested positive for COVID-19.

Sun has learned that the employee was a male who tested positive quite some time ago. Sources have also confirmed that the employee tested positive outside of work.

The Maldives has confirmed a total of 3,506 cases of the virus. Office workers are testing positive more since the lockdown on the capital was eased on July 1. The Maldives confirmed 137 cases of the virus in a single day yesterday.
