Recovered COVID-19 patient tests positive for virus again

An individual infected with COVID-19 but recovered has tested positive for the virus once again after traveling to India for medical purposes.

A media official from Aasandha said that the individual traveled abroad to assist a non-COVID-19 patient. The individual tested positive on Tuesday.

Aasandha said that the individual had tested positive for the virus in the Maldives, but made a full recovery before testing positive for the virus once again. 

Aasandha said that so far, three Maldivians that traveled abroad for medical purposes had tested positive for the virus. Two out of the three were people that had traveled to assist sickly patients. All three were doing well, according to Aasandha.
