An eleventh death has been reported in connection with COVID-19 in the Maldives.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) tweeted that a 77-year-old Maldivian female admitted at DH11 of Dharumavantha Hospital had passed away. The time of death has been reported as 01:52.
She is reportedly the spouse of the 92-year old that passed away two days ago due to the virus.
The total number of deaths related to COVID-19 in the Maldives now stands at 11. They are five Maldivians, five Bangladeshi nationals as well as one Indonesian national.
The Maldives has so far confirmed 2,435 infections of the virus along with 2,030 recoveries. Currently, there are 390 active cases with 13 hospitalized.
A total of 25 cases were identified yesterday.
