155 Indian nationals repatriated

A total of 155 Indian nationals left stranded in the Maldives due to COVID-19 have been repatriated.

the Indian High Commission in the Maldives said that those repatriated include people going to Bangalore and Trivandrum.

Around 2,600 Indian nationals have so far been repatriated from the Maldives. Indian naval ships have so far made four such evacuation trips. Other means evacuation conducted include charter flights.

It is estimated that there are 27,000 Indian nationals in the Maldives for various purposes.
