Two more resorts being monitored for suspected Covid-19 cases

The government has imposed temporary monitoring mechanisms on the resort of Grand Park Kodhipparu after a foreigner on the island began exhibiting symptoms of the Covid-19 virus.

HPA stated that tests are being conducted on the individual and the monitoring mechanisms on the island would remain in place until the test results are received.

The resort of JA Manafaru is also under monitoring status after a suspected case of the Covid-19. Other than these resorts, the resort of Reethi Beach remains under monitoring by the authorities.

Three safaris are also being monitored due to suspected cases. Two cases of the virus were tested positive from the Island Safari earlier which is still being monitored by the authorities. The remaining safaris are Maahaa Safari and Equator Safari.
