President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has announced that internet services in the country will be brought some changes to provide conveniences for the public due to the situation with the Covid-19 virus.

In a news conference held today, President Solih stated that the measures will be announced within the next two or three days due to the increase in the usage of internet across the country.

“Internet usage during these days has increased. I believe that easements need to be brought to the services. God willing, we will provide more details regarding this in the next two or three days.” Said President Solih.

President Solih’s announcement comes just a day after MP Mickail Naseem requested to summon the heads of communication authorities in the country to the parliament over the failure to introduce easements to internet services in the country.
