Maldivians in Russia placed in quarantine

The government of Maldives has announced that some Maldivian students in Russia have been placed under quarantine after exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19.

Government spokesperson Mabrook Azeez, stated that three students in Russia were placed under quarantine for five days. The students were exhibiting symptoms of the virus, according to Mabrook.

The three students were well and the Maldivian Embassy in Germany and the Foreign Ministry were monitoring their status.

Russia is a country that many Maldivian students pursue higher education.
