Ooredoo and Health Protection Agency have made arrangements so that phone calls made to Ooredoo numbers will feature an awareness message regarding the Covid-19 disease, instead of the usual dial tone.

The message advises to wash hands thoroughly with soap and covering the nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing. In addition to this advice, the message requests people to not attend public gatherings, wear a face mask and obtain medical help if ill.

Eight cases of the Covid-19 disease have been confirmed in the Maldives so far. They were confirmed from three resorts in the country which were placed in lockdown and reopened last night.
