Maldives’ first oral and maxillofacial surgeon begins service at IGMH

Dr. Fathuhulla Saeed, the first local doctor to specialize in oral and maxillofacial surgery, has begun service at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

Dr. Fathuhulla began his service at IGMH this Sunday.

Oral and maxillofacial surgery specializes in surgery of the face, mouth, and jaws.

It covers treatment for birth defects such as cleft palate, cranio-maxillofacial trauma, surgery to treat oral cancer, facial cosmetic surgery, corrective jaw surgery, and implant surgery.
