Mufti Menk to lecture in Male’, Addu and Kulhudhuffushi

A renowned Islamic scholar from Zimbabwe, Ismail ibn Musa Menk, better known as Mufti Menk, is scheduled to arrive in Maldives for lecture sessions this January.

Mufti Menk is scheduled to arrive in Maldives on January 14.

Islamic Ministry confirms the visit is at its invitation.

A spokesperson from the Islamic Ministry told Sun Mufti Menk will deliver lectures in Male’ City, Addu City and Kulhudhuffushi City, said a ministry spokesperson.

The dates and locations of the lectures will be released soon, said the spokesperson.

According to the spokesperson, Mufti Menk will also run a special religious session for local Islamic scholars and the local youth population – a latter of which will be aimed at guiding the youth population on remedying the issues they face.

He is scheduled to conclude his visit and leave the country on January 18.

Mufti Menk in the head of the fatwa department of The Council of Islamic Scholars of Zimbabwe, and the Director of Daarul Ilm (Islamic Education Center) of Majlisul Ulama Zimbabwe.
