Maldivian musicians gearing up for another Eid

Maldivian musicians are once again rolling up their sleeves to hold a musical Eid in celebration of Independence Day.

The last musical Eid was held during the Independence Day of 2016, after a brief intervention. 

The media and communications director for the Heritage Ministry Mr. Ismail Naail informed “Sun” that the musical Eid will be held on the 27th and 28th of this month at Alimas Carnival and that it will be participated by a lot of bands.

“Around 13 bands will be taking part in this year’s Musical Eid. We will be dividing the bands for the two nights and the venue will be open for the public.” Said Naail.

This year’s Independence Day will see float parades as well parades by school children among others. This will be the 54th Independence Day of the Maldives.
