Newly appointed Ambassadors to Maldives from New Zealand, Australia, Malta and Bahrain handed over their letters of credence to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih at an event held at the President’s Office this Sunday.
The newly appointed Ambassadors for Maldives are;
New Zealand - Joanne Tyndall
Australia - David John Holly Australia
Malta - Stephen Borg
Bahrain - Abdulrahman Mohamed Al-Gaoud
During the individual official welcome ceremonies, the Ambassadors spoke warmly about the bilateral relations that their countries have with the Maldives and discussed to strengthen the on going bond in a way that would benefit both the countries.
President Solih conveyed his interest in working together with the international partners to advance the country's development agenda.
He also expressed his gratefulness to towards the countries for taking part in the upcoming Maldives Partnership Forum 2019, to be held at Kurumba Maldives from June 17 – 18.
