Ali Zahir: Don’t join the government profit from corruption

Vice President of Adhaalath Party, Ali Zahir, has said that no one should expect to be part of the government of Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to profit from corruption.  

In a tweet sent out today, Ali Zahir said that there will be no room for corruption in the new government and called for the cooperation to keep it that way.  

The President Elect, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has previously declared that he would work against corruption and the opposition coalition has alleged the involvement of corruption at MMPRC and the Sina Male’ Bridge construction. They have indicated towards getting FBI assistance in recovering the money.  

While the new President is set to be sworn in next Saturday, the new cabinet positions are being assigned. The coalition agreement states that 40 percent of the government will be under the MDP flag while 25 percent for Jumhoory Party, 20 to the choice of the former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom and 15 to Adhaalath Party.
