A Palestinian who wielded the Maldivian flag as a sign of gratitude at the protest rally against Israel has been killed.
Osama Khalil Abu Khater, 29, was shot in the abdomen by Israeli snipers during a rally held in Khan Younis city in the southern Gaza Strip last June and died from the injury on 22 June.
At the "Great March of Return" protest rally, a group of Palestinians waved the Maldivian flag as a sign of gratitude for the Maldives for it's work in providing aid and advocating on behalf of Palestine on the international stage according to the a Facebook group that brings that state of Palestine, "Friends of Palestine - Maldives".
At the Great March of Return, 132 people were killed while 14,811 were injured.
Israel has continue daily attacks on the Palestinians with the most dangerous attacking since 2014 came this weekend.
