Third Red Alert issued in Sri Lanka due to storm

A third meteorological Red Alert has been issued in Sri Lanka due to the tropical storm affecting the country.

The country has been experiencing torrential rain nonstop since yesterday afternoon. And so a Red Alert has been in effect for 36 hours now.

Maldivian Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Mohamed Hussain Shareef (Mundhu) said that the third alert has been directly informed to the Embassy.
