Ooredoo to introduce IPTV to Maldives

Ooredoo Maldives has announced that they would be introducing Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) to the Maldives in the near future.

Speaking at the initial public offering (IPO) inauguration of Ooredoo Maldives PLC, the Deputy CEO of the Ooredoo Group of Qatar, the parent company of Ooredoo Maldives, Waleed Al Sayed said that the high ranking officials of Ooredoo Maldives have requested to introduce IPTV to the Maldives.

Deputy CEO, Sayed said that the service would be introduced to the Maldives in the coming months and it is a promise to the Maldives.

Internet Protocol television (IPTV) is the delivery of television content through signals based on the logical Internet protocol (IP), as opposed to the traditional terrestrial, satellite signal, and cable television formats.

The Deputy CEO of Ooredoo Group said that Ooredoo Maldives is the fastest developing company under them. He said that Ooredoo Group is expanding their investments in the Maldives as well.
