PALLEKELE, Sri Lanka (AP) — Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene won the toss on Sunday and elected to bowl in the third and final test against Pakistan at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
Opening batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan was left out to be with his ill children and was replaced by Dinesh Chandimal. Sri Lanka also brought in fast bowlers Dilhara Fernando and Thisara Perera in place ofSuraj Randiv and Nuwan Pardeep in a hope that the wicket will suit the seamers with some lively grass on it.
Pakistan also made two changes with fast bowlers Mohammad Sami and Umar Gul replacing Abdur Rehman and Aizaz Cheema.
Sri Lanka leads the series 1-0 after winning the first test by 209 runs at Galle. The second test ended in a draw at Sinhalese Sports Club's flat wicket in Colombo last week.
Sri Lanka is looking for its first series victory since beating New Zealand at home in 2009.
