National Urorenal and Fertility Center to be opened next month

State hospital, Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has said that the National Urorenal and Fertility Center would be opened next month.

CEO of IGMH, Faruhath Shaheer told Sun Media today that the hospital do not have the facilities for urology related testing at the time. And the when the urorenal center opens, urological diagnosis and surgeries can be performed.

He said that the center would also have fertility treatment for men.

As the new urorenal and fertility center contract to NU Hospital in Bangalore, India, opens next month, a new Intensive Care Unit (ICU) would be opening at the hospital. The ICU being built from the State Budget is set to have 15 beds. The current ICU at IGMH has eight beds.

While a new ICU and a Unrorenal and Fertility Center is set to be opened at IGMH next month, last November, the hospital began MRI scan service.
