RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Demonstrators protesting the death of a boy who was killed by a stray bullet have set 12 buses ablaze in Brazil.
Four-year-old Rian Gabriel was shot in the chest on Easter Sunday while playing outside his grandparents' home in a violent neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro.
The Globo television network's G1 Internet portal showed images of the flaming buses burned Saturday night.
G1 says that firefighters were kept from the area due to fears for their safety.
The military police in the state of Rio de Janeiro and local police could not immediately be reached for comment.
