Dhiraagu to introduce Mobile Money Service

Dhiraagu has officially displayed a demo for the first time to introduce Mobile Money Service to complete financial transactions via mobile phone.

The company displayed the service at the first Financial Expo hosted by the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA).

While the license for mobile money service has been issued in the country, Dhiraagu said that MMA has authorized the permit for the service.

Dhiraagu said that mobile phones can be used as an electronic wallet once their service begins. They said that the service would allow advancements to big and small businesses in the country.

The company said that the service would be available to all devices that allow Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD). After depositing any amount a customer wants to their mobile money account, financial transactions can be done through that account.

The Mobile Money Service by Dhiraagu also allows fund transfers as well.

Dhiraagu said that their Mobile Money Service would be officially introduced in the next six months and would be available to the public. The service can be used by both Pre-paid and Post-paid customers.
