Injured Czech skip Rosicky will be ready for Euro

PRAGUE (AP) — The Czech Republic says a calf muscle injury is unlikely to prevent captain Tomas Rosicky from playing in next month's European Championship.

Rosicky joined the Czech training camp in Bad Waltersdorf, Austria on Tuesday after undergoing a medical check in Prague the previous day.

The team said in a statement on Tuesday that Rosicky should join the training soon but his fitness for a friendly against Israel on Saturday was still doubtful.

The Czechs face Russia, Greece and Poland in the group stage of the tournament in Poland and Ukraine.

Rosicky missed Euro 2008 because of an injury.
