More than 1000 appointments to consult Dr. Shan

More than 1000 people have made appointments to consult the Orthopedist, Dr. Shan Yousuf at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

IGMH said that there are over 1000 appointments for two doctors consulting at the hospital. They are Dr. Shan and ENT Doctor, Dr. Sachin. The hospital said that there are so many appointments to consult Dr. Sachin because he is the only ENT doctor at the hospital at the moment.

Sources told Sun Media that Dr. Shan is consulting today for appointments made on 29 July. Maldivian doctors at IGMH with the lowest appointments also have about 260 appointments.

The foreign doctor with the lowest appointments has 128 pending. The doctors consult 20 patients every day they are on duty. And so to consult the doctor with the lowest appointments would also take a week.

With the change to the appointment system at IGMH, people can get appointments without a limit, 24-hours a day. Appointments can be made via phone, text or the IGMH Mobile Application.
