NEW DELHI (AP) — An air conditioning unit caught fire at India's parliament complex on Sunday, causing a dozen fire engines to respond, but the small blaze was put out and there were no immediate reports of injuries or major damage, officials said.
Firefighters took about 30 minutes to extinguish the fire, which sent a huge cloud of dark smoke soaring into the sky, said New Delhi fire official A.K. Sharma.
The main parliament building was unaffected by the fire, Sharma said, adding that the cause of the fire was being investigated.
