BAGHDAD (AP) — Iraqi officials say three car bombs in different neighborhoods of Baghdad have killed at least 15 people.
Police officials say the three blasts took place in less than 10 minutes Saturday, hitting the districts of Bayaa, Jihad and Khazimiyah. They say at least 42 people were wounded in the attacks.
Hospital officials in Baghdad confirmed the casualty figures.
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief the media.
Earlier in the day, a suicide bomber killed at least nine people at a checkpoint in southern Baghdad.
