Life in prison for ex-nurse in 5 bleach deaths

LUFKIN, Texas (AP) — Jurors who convicted an ex-Texas nurse of killing five dialysis patients by injecting them with bleach decided she should spend the rest of her life in prison with no chance for parole.

The jury made its sentencing decision Monday in the case of Kimberly Saenz. The 38-year-old was convicted Friday of killing the patients and deliberately injuring five others at a clinic run by Denver-based health care giant DaVita Inc.

Jurors also could have recommended that Saenz be put to death.
