United wins, Spurs lose in thrilling day in EPL

LONDON (AP) — Ryan Giggs kept the Premier League title race bubbling in his 900th game for Manchester United, scoring a late winner against Norwich on Sunday while Arsenal rallied to thrash Tottenham 5-2 in a thrilling north London derby.

Giggs' injury-time strike sealed a 2-1 win for United at Carrow Road, restoring a two-point gap to league leader Manchester City with 12 matches left.

Third-place Tottenham's title hopes appear gone after surrendering a two-goal lead against its fierce rival, who scored five times in 29 minutes either side of the break to climb back into the top four.

Tottenham is now eight points adrift of United and seven clear of Arsenal.

Liverpool takes on second-tier club Cardiff in the League Cup final at Wembley Stadium later Sunday.
