BIRMINGHAM, England (AP) — Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik smashed centuries as India beat Sri Lanka by 5 wickets on Saturday in a run-friendly warmup for the Champions Trophy.
India reached 337-5 in 49 overs after chasing Sri Lanka's 333-3 at Edgbaston.
Kohli and Karthik came together with India struggling on 110-4. The two shared a 186-run partnership before Kohli was out for 144 off 120 balls with India on 296.
Karthik finished on 106 not out off 81 balls.
Tillakaratne Dilshan and Kusal Perera earlier shared a 160-run opening partnership for Sri Lanka. Perera hit 82 before retiring hurt, and Dilshan later also retired hurt on 84.
The Champions Trophy starts on Thursday.
