The Maldives National University (MNU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Anti‑Corruption Commission (ACC) to enhance cooperation in preventing and combating corruption in the Maldives.
The MoU establishes a framework for collaboration between the two institutions, enabling MNU to support ACC through its academic, research, and technical expertise. The agreement aims to strengthen national efforts to promote integrity and build systems that reduce opportunities for corruption.
Under the MoU, MNU will identify areas where it can contribute to corruption‑prevention initiatives and provide technical assistance to ACC. Both parties also agreed to work together to implement ACC’s recommendations and guidelines within the university system.
The agreement further outlines procedures for information‑sharing, public communication, and coordinated activities. It also requires the establishment of a structured feedback mechanism to monitor progress and ensure continuous improvement in joint initiatives.
MNU stated that the partnership will help instill values of integrity among students and staff, while reinforcing the university’s commitment to supporting national efforts to create corruption‑free public institutions.
