ChefVision AI's founder, CEO Ismail Shuau (R): ChefVision has launched a AI platform tailored for Dhivehi language with comprehensive features.
A versatile AI platform with advanced proficiency in the Dhivehi language has been officially launched.
The platform Yaumiyya AI is designed to perform internet searches in Dhivehi, delivering clear answers supported by cited sources.
Yaumiyya AI was created by the Maldivian startup ChefVision AI, which received backing from Antler, a global venture capital firm operating in 30 cities and supporting over 1,500 startups worldwide.
Ismail Shuau, founder and CEO of ChefVision AI, stated that the platform’s main goal is to make AI accessible to all Maldivians by enabling its use in their native language.
The platform offers three distinct search modes: Standard Search for quick answers, Deep Research for in-depth investigations, and a specialized Legal Search for exploring Maldivian laws and regulations.
Shuau emphasized that, unlike platforms such as Google or ChatGPT, Yaumiyya AI is specifically tailored to simplify information retrieval for Maldivians. All features are available in both English and Dhivehi.
Specialized assistance for writers
The platform features an Article Drafting Tool aimed at writers and journalists. This tool helps generate ideas and initial drafts to kickstart the writing process. Additionally, the AI can conduct independent research to produce various types of documents, including news articles, formal letters, and other written content on request.
Comprehensive range of features
Yaumiyya AI also provides a Dhivehi speech-to-text feature capable of distinguishing between multiple speakers, along with a translation feature from English to Dhivehi. The platform includes a Dhivehi grammar and spell-check tool that identifies errors and offers AI-powered corrections.
According to Shuau, the platform operates on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure, ensuring top-tier security and data protection.
The company stated that the platform is designed to assist writers, journalists, professionals, students, and the general public, and it operates on a subscription-based model.
