Renowned actor, former parliamentarian Mohamed Abdulla (Muhamma) is currently undergoing treatment following a heart attack.
A close acquittance of Muhamma told Sun on Friday that Muhamma suffered from the heart attack last night, and is currently being treated at the National Cardiac Centre in Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
Citing doctors, the acquittance said Muhamma’s exact condition can only be ascertained after 24 hours of monitoring.
Muhamma, who previously served as the parliamentarian for Ihavandhoo constituency, last held the post of a member of Maldives Broadcasting Commission (BroadCom) which was dissolved with recent media bill.
Muhamma entered politics through Jumhoory Party, had later signed to main opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP). However, he is currently a member of ruling People’s National Congress (PNC).
Muhamma was also a hit comedian in the Maldivian film industry. He has also produced a number of successful movies.
