Island Fishing has claimed first place in ‘Kandufoari’ fishing competition organized by Sonee Fishing.
This year’s ‘Kandufoari’ fishing competition was contested by 14 teams.
The winning teams were presented awards by Maldives National University (MNU) Fisheries College’s Dean Dr. Ahmed Riyaz Jauhary.
In this regard, Island Fishing nabbed first place in the competition, followed by Team Nora in second place and Shiyaz Sports Fishing in third place.
Other awards in the competition:
Best Female Angler – Sumayya from Team Malahini
Best Captain – Island Fishing’s captain
Best Junior Anger – Kiyan from Team Banoon
Best Anglers:
First place – Island Fishing’s Munthaz
Second place – Island Fishing Yameen
Third place – Night at Sea’s Shamweel
Fourth place – Club HDC’s Sobah
Kandufoari is a fishing competition aimed at promoting recreational fishing in the Maldives.
This marks the third edition of the competition, which Sonee described as well-received among the public.
