Indian Defence Minister A K Antony will arrive in Maldives on Saturday, on a three-day official visit.
Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has informed that Antony’s visit follows an invitation by Defence Minister Mohamed Nazim.
The Defence Minister will inaugurate the Maldivian Military Hospital which has been built in collaboration with India, and also lay the foundation stone for a Training Centre in Maafilaafushi.
Antony is the first senior official of the Indian government to visit the Maldives since the change of government in February 2012.
